Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if it rains?

We will always try and go ahead with the pop up cinema even in the event of bad weather. Please check the weather forecast in advance and be prepared for the Great British Summer. Our Pop up Cinema screenings will only be cancelled if the weather conditions present a danger at screening time. Patrons accept the risk that weather they consider unsatisfactory may occur on a screening night, and acknowledge that tickets will not be exchanged or refunded unless a screening is cancelled by The Paddock Picturehouse. In the unlikely event that a screening is cancelled, we will aim to give as much notice as possible, so please keep an eye out for information on the website and social media.

Can I bring food and drink?

You can bring picnics with you to most of our events. Please be mindful that if you bring your own food and drink to take care not to leave the rubbish behind when you leave. In addition, we will always have a bar and hot food for sale on site courtesy of The Social

Can we bring something to sit on?

Yes, by all means feel free to bring a picnic chair or blanket to sit on. Please note that our ushers request those members of the audience on chairs not to sit at the front, but rather position themselves at the side or towards the back of the audience arena. We will have hay bales and other bits and bobs for people to lounge on…

How will I receive my ticket?

This depends on how you choose to book. If you purchase your ticket at The Social then you will be given a wrist band to wear for the night. If you have purchased through our Facebook page or here on the website then please print out your reciept and bring it with you on the night. We will swap this and give you the wristbands for your party. If you have any queries with regards to our ticketing, please contact us.

Can we bring children?

Yes of course, the more the merrier… Children are permitted at our events, but please be aware that they must adhere to the film’s certification. Our ushers have to check to make sure that all audience members are a suitable age to view the film being screened. Please ensure you have photo identification with you if your child may appear younger than the listed film certification.

Will there be food and drink available at the screening?

Yes – we have food and drink at our events courtesy of The Social, though please check the screening details on our website in advance as to what will be available. This may change with short or no notice.

What if I forget my ticket?

Please bring your ticket along – if you do forget it, we have a record of all bookings, so if you provide our ushers with your details we can admit you into the event. All audience members including children must have a valid ticket.

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes, all of our sites have wheelchair access, but bear in mind that these are outdoor venues so sometimes the ground will be uneven. We will do our best to acocmodate anyone in a wheelchair but please inform us in advance if you require wheelchair entry and exit and we will ensure you are looked after.
